Editorial Intern

Your Role: This position supports the editorial team at rAVe [PUBS], the industry’s leading source for audiovisual news, analysis and commentary. As an editorial intern, you will assist with various responsibilities related to the daily operation and content production of rAVePUBS.com. Assignments may include researching and writing news stories, assisting with podcasts and videocasts, reviewing press releases, editing copy and supporting our content distribution process. This is a hands-on editorial role — ideal for someone with a background or strong interest in journalism, media or communications. We’re looking for a reliable, curious intern who’s eager to grow as a reporter and writer. In return, we’ll give you real-world newsroom experience, feedback to help you improve and the chance to contribute bylined work to a respected industry trade publication.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • At least one example of journalism experience — through coursework, student media, internships or freelance reporting
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow editorial direction
  • Familiarity with AP Style or willingness to learn quickly
  • Availability to work a consistent schedule during regular business hours

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to pitch and write original AV news content independently
  • Experience editing or proofreading others’ work
  • Competence in AP Style, grammar and spelling
  • Attention to detail when fact-checking, formatting and sourcing
  • Willingness to dive into technical AV topics and learn the structure of the ProAV industry
  • Familiarity with publishing platforms like WordPress is a plus

Trade Show Intern – ISE 2026

Your Role: This position supports THE rAVe Agency and the rAVe [PUBS] team at major industry trade shows. As a Trade Show Video Shooter, you will serve as an on-the-ground reporter responsible for capturing short exhibitor product videos that highlight new technologies in the ProAV industry. You’ll be assigned a section of the show floor, approach exhibitors, explain our video process and film clear, concise product overviews that follow rAVe’s established format. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role — ideal for someone who enjoys talking with people, learning new technology quickly and working in a dynamic environment. No prior camera experience is needed; we’ll train you on equipment and best practices. We’re looking for a reliable, outgoing team member who’s ready for long days on their feet and excited to contribute to our show coverage.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Availability for an in-person training session on January 16, 2026 (2–5:30 p.m. ET)
  • Ability to travel to Barcelona, Spain, from January 31–February 7, 2026
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence approaching exhibitors
  • Flexibility to work long days, including evenings, throughout the show

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Comfort speaking with and interviewing strangers in a professional setting
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-moving trade show environment
  • Strong attention to detail when recording, organizing and titling videos
  • Effective time management — must capture multiple videos each day
  • Interest in technology, media production or the AV industry
  • Previous camera experience is helpful but not required (training provided)
