Meet the Team: Brooke Fisher
Brooke is a UX designer at THE rAVe Agency.
What was your favorite part about growing up in North Carolina? I love that North Carolina has a diverse landscape; from hiking in the Appalachian Mountains to swimming at the Outer Banks, North Carolina, offers it all. We also are lucky to experience all the seasons. Growing up in the mountains, fall is one of my favorite seasons because I always enjoy seeing the leaves change color. Plus, my birthday is in the fall, so I’m kind of biased. 🙂
Favorite restaurant in the Triangle area? This is such a hard question because there are so many good places to eat. In Chapel Hill, my favorite restaurant is Vimala’s Curryblossom Cafe. In downtown Durham, I love Dashi, and Noodle Blvd in Cary also has great ramen.
What got you interested in UX design? UX design is all about caring about users and how to make their lives better. Whether that means making sure that websites are accessible to all regardless of ability or just making an easy navigation structure, UX designers always have the user in mind. I’ve always wanted a job where I get to help others, and UX combines my passion for design with service.
Any hobby you’re really into? I really love bullet journaling. I’m very into organization, and I even filmed a video showcasing my bullet journaling process. Honestly, looking at a well-curated monthly spread fills me with joy.
What is your favorite part about working at THE rAVe Agency? My favorite part is the amazing people I get to work with every day. THE rAVe Agency is full of young, hard-working employees, and I’ve never been in an office where I got to work around so many young professionals my age. I am also constantly challenged by this job. Even though everyone is also young, they have such a drive to do good work, and it motivates me to work harder and build my skills.
